1. How does it work?
Choose the equipment you need and select your rental dates on the schedule and the time when you wish to pick up and return the material.
Then select your point of withdrawal. Please note: in case of delivery, the price indicated does not take into account extra costs. These will appear when you choose the place of delivery.
If your basket is complete you can validate it and create your customer account, if it is not done yet.
Then confirm your order and proceed with payment. A summary email specifying the equipment rented, the rental dates and the place of withdrawal will be sent to you.
Beware, in case of payment by check or by transfer, the order will be validated only upon receipt.
If you have chosen home delivery, BBVM will contact you by email or telephone to set an appointment.
Otherwise, present yourself on Day D at our partner with your order confirmation and pick up your equipment.
2. How does delivery throughout France work?
BBVM offers a selection of equipment that can be shipped to a relay Shop2Shop all over France (outside Corsica and Overseas Department). Your order and deposit must be validated at least 4 working days (excluding Saturday, Sunday and public holidays) before the desired date of receipt. For example, if you wish to be delivered on Saturday the 10th, the reservation must be confirmed by the previous Tuesday, the 6th.
The booking is charged, at least 1 week and this is added to the delivery/return fee of 20 to 25 euros per item.
The material is sent by carrier to relay Shop2Shop. The delay is from 24h to 48h but we always expect a margin of one to 2 days to make up for a possible carrier retaliation.
For the return, you must repackage the material in the packaging in which it was sent to you and drop the parcel(s) at the Parcel Relay or Shop2shop point, depending on the slip provided. You will find in the packages, upon receipt, a return procedure as well as the return slip or slips.
3. Do I have to post a deposit? If so, where and how?
Yes. A security deposit must be made for each rented equipment*. We work with the Swikly service provider. It is a French, extra-secure tool that allows you to deposit a deposit with your bank card. The amount of the deposit is not charged. In case of problems, Swikly is our mediator and checks the conditions of payment of the deposit. Within 24 hours after your booking confirmation an email and a text message is sent to you in order to deposit your deposit online. This step is mandatory to finalize your order. Proof will be required to remove the material.
*except for baby carrier hiking rentals at Chalets d'Iraty.
4. What is the delay between my order and the delivery?
Equipment is available at each partner, so you can make your reservation online and pick it up within minutes. However it is advisable to book a week before and more in high season to be sure to have the desired product on the desired dates.
Regarding the home delivery provided by BBVM (Basque coast and southern Landes), everything will depend on the availability on the delivery schedule. The schedule can be changed by more or less 2 hours. BBVM will confirm with you the schedule 24 to 48 hours before delivery. In any case, your order must be placed no later than 24 hours before delivery.
Deliveries by carrier must be spent at least 4 working days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) before the desired date so that we can respect the rental start date. There is no notion of a schedule. The carrier delivers to you during the day. You will be able to track your package using the tracking number provided.
5. Where can the equipment be picked up?
The material is available from the partners whose details you will find in the "Relay Partners and Delivery Rates" tab and BBVM ensures delivery on the Basque coast and in the South of the Landes.
A selection of material visible in the "delivery in France" tab is available for Shop2Shop point delivery (excluding Corsica and Overseas department). This service is charged 20 to 30 euros per product delivery and recovery included in addition to the rental rate.
6. Is the return included in the delivery rate?
Yes the delivery rate includes the return.
It is also possible to choose the delivery, or the recovery only in the case where the withdrawal or the return is performed at a Partner. This option can not be paid online. You will have to make your request by email or telephone.
7. Do I have to clean the equipment before returning it?
You are not required to uncover and clean the equipment. BBVM and its partners handle its maintenance. However, the equipment entrusted to you was given clean and in working condition. You are therefore requested to return it in the same condition. In case of heavy stains, a fixed amount of 20 € may be required.
8. I want to extend my rental, what should I do?
Simply contact BBVM by email or phone. If the equipment is not rented you can extend your rental. A lump sum of € 10 will be requested and beyond the difference between the duration already paid and the amount of the final total rental period. We will email you a secure credit card link allowing you to pay the surcharge.
9. Can the equipment be rented directly from a Partner?
Our Partners are custodians of the equipment and are not authorized to accept payments. All reservations must be paid in advance to BBVM.
10. The Relay Point is closed for holidays, what should I do ?
If the Relay Partner where you wish to pick up your equipment is closed for holidays, only Shop2Shop point delivery is possible. It is ensured by BBVM on the Basque Coast for 15 € (delivery and pick-up) and in the South Landes for 20 € (delivery and return). A shipment and return Chronopost service is available throughout France.
11. The Relay Point is closed the day of my arrival or departure, what should I do?
You can request a delivery or a pick-up at the address of your choice at the price of €10 on the Basque Coast and €15 in the South of Landes. For this purpose, when booking you will select the Partner from whom you want to take or return the material and in comment you will make the delivery request or pick-up alone. The payment of this service will be made with the deliverer or in advance to BBVM in case of shipment by carrier.
